Data is vital to any business (or person) and when that data is lost, your business comes to a standstill.  A local graphic design company experienced a hard drive failure on one of their computers that stores all their graphic designs.  To make matters worse, backups were not scheduled on that computer, so they had no means of retrieving their designs.  This all happened on a Friday. 

We worked all weekend and luckily, we were able to perform a recovery on the hard drive and retrieve all critical data.  After performing the recovery, we provided the customer with a hard drive with all the recovered data and for peace of mind informed the customer that they will keep a copy of the information for 30 business days, which is a standard for all backup and recovery services.

The customer was relieved and happy all at the same time.  They were able to go back to work on Monday and start making money again.  It's important to backup your data on an external hard drive at least once a month or more often if you are a business.  An external hard drive is not expensive compared to the risk of loosing all your data and having to start over.
